MEET JOHN

I have lived in the Cowichan Valley – an hours drive from Victoria – since 1972. My wife, Sharon, is now retired from her job as an administrator at the local university-college. We raised our two children in the area. Our daughter lives in the Cowichan Valley with her husband and our two grandchildren. Our son and his wife also reside in the Cowichan Valley.

Before entering the Real Estate profession in 1980, I was a teacher in the Duncan area.

During my real estate career I have been very involved with my local real estate board and the provincial real estate board. I served as a Director of the Vancouver Island Real Estate Board for many years which culminated in my being the 2001 President.

I was a Director of the British Columbia Real Estate Association for several years and served as the 2009/2010 President. The British Columbia Real Estate Association represents eleven member real estate boards and the their 18,000 REALTORS on all provincial issues.

I love the Real Estate profession!
